This year seems to have been rather hard for a lot of my friends, and I hate to admit, me as well (on the health front). I cannot call it a crappy year because so many wonderful things happened, I met some beautiful people, and still got to do what I love, with the people I adore. And now that it’s the Christmas season, i.e., the time of the year I pretty much LIVE for and I can’t be more grateful! Ahh! This year is rather Christmas-y and it’s pulling on my happy strings. I get up with carols playing in my head (I know that sounds like torture for many, but I’m a sucker for them!) and end the day with the tree twinkling. Perrrfeecccttt!

Our studio is having our first Secret Santa and it’s adorable! I have nooooo idea who mine is but she/he’s a doll! So in the festive spirit, I made these Secret Santa tags for free download.

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi

I was overwhelmed and stoked with the help and feedback I got when drawing goddess Lakshmi, that I knew that I was going to do this more often. The extra mails asking for other gods ensured my interest too! So here is Ganesha, the most fun god to draw and again, thank you all for your help with the feedback. And Happy Ganesha Chaturthi!

Vaha Maha Lakshmi

I cannot remember what religious festival it was but I remember I had drawn Ganesha. He’s probably the happiest Hindu god to draw! Once I published it, I got the loveliest comments for it but one not-so-happy mail. I responded with apologies and more importantly, reasons. I didn’t want to make an error again. Why was he upset? What did he not like? I never got a response which, kind of, made it all the more worrisome every time I put out drawings for religious events.

Everyone on Facebook and Instagram was so very kind helping me out with the details that I would have spent hours researching. I truly appreciate it! You guys are the best!

Oh! because I get asked all the time: I use a Pentel brush pen with the cheapest ink I can find at the local stationary store. I think I'm using student-grade Camlin at the moment.

Live the dream.

There have been hardships, major fuckups and a few times when the carpet was pulled from under my feet. Regardless, no matter how horrid times were and can be, I cannot be happier than I am today. I'm obsessed with trying to find out why and I can rightly say that a major part of it has to do with what I do for most part of my day and that is my job! Doing what I love is pretty much a dream come true and because I feel like a walking, talking emoticon smiley, I will have the words 'Live your dream' as my 2-cent advice to anyone who's willing to listen.
I made this poster and realised that it's best use would be if anyone or everyone who needed a reminder about their living pet-dream could print it on demand. So, here you go, if you please!
